GREENOCK Cricket Club is at the centre of a police investigation following alleged racist abuse at their ground on Saturday.
Standing umpire and former Scotland cricketer Majid Haq reported being verbally abused at Glenpark and police were called in.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 63-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with alleged racial abuse and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
Cricket Scotland has condemned the behaviour while going to say are working closely with the relevant bodies as well as the Greenock Cricket Club.
