THE Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow sculpture will light up tonight to mark World Parkinson's Day.
Inverclyde Council announced the landmark is turning bright blue in honour of all those who live with the debilitating condition.
The iconic sculpture, standing 33ft tall and made of stainless steel - also affectionately known as the Skelpies - was officially unveiled last year
A local Parkinson's support group runs every month in the Greenock Salvation Army premises in Regent Street offering valuable advice for those with Parkinson's and their carers.
There is also a Dance for Parkinson's sessions in the Beacon Arts Centre every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm as part of their outreach work.
