MORTON defender Calum Waters says it's about time his side got the better of Raith Rovers.

Ton haven't beaten the Fifers in a year, having lost two games and drawn the other against them this season.

Waters hopes his side can now make amends at Cappielow tomorrow.

He told the Tele: “It’d be good to get a result against Raith, I think we’re due one. It would go a long way in helping us finishing fifth.

“The games have been far closer than the results have maybe suggested, and they’ve never beaten us by more than a goal.

“The first game especially still hurts, we did enough to win that. Then in the first home game here we maybe didn’t do ourselves justice.

“The third match through there the last time was quite even and finished 0-0.

“When it's the end of the season and you look back you think of times where you could’ve picked up more points.

“Those points are precious come the end of the season. You learn over time that these things really do matter. If we could’ve come back one or two times, it could’ve been entirely different.”
