FIREFIGHTERS were called to a street in Greenock after a van caught fire.
A crew from Greenock arrived on Mearns Street near to junction with Roxburgh Street at around 9pm on Friday night.
They used a hose-reel jet to put out a fire in a white van.
Police were also called to the scene and closed the road for around half an hour.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We did attend a van on fire on Mearns Street at the corner of Roxburgh Street.
"A crew from Greenock attended.
"They extinguished a private van with a hose reel jet."
