FERGUSON’S of Port Glasgow is expected to be on TV tomorrow
– in a programme featuring the ‘Hairy Bikers’.
Presenters Dave Myers and Si King spent half a day in the yard, which is currently being revamped, filming for their series ‘The Pubs that Built Britain’.
The episode is about pubs linked with shipbuilding on the Clyde.
Yard business development director John Morgan said: “The bikers were in the yard for quite a while, chatting with the workforce.
“You never know how much ends up on the cutting room floor, but it will be the last time we will see the yard as it was.”
It will be shown on BBC2 at 6.30pm.
