TIME is running out for residents in Kilmacolm to register for superfast internet.
Inverclyde MP Ronnie Cowan is encouraging villagers to sign up to Virgin Media’s ‘Cable My Street’ scheme, which is giving 10 communities across the UK the chance to have optical fibre broadband installed over the next 12 months.
Kilmacolm has been consistently in the top 10 but has recently dropped into 11th place and Mr Cowan is encouraging people to register before the deadline on Friday.
He said: “Kilmacolm winning this bid will benefit everyone, as it gives us the opportunity to daisy chain the service to Port Glasgow, Greenock, Gourock and then Inverkip and Wemyss Bay.”
