A STARSTRUCK Greenock youngster enjoyed an out-of-this-world meeting with Doctor Who.
Eight-year-old Kai Robertson travelled through space and time to meet Dr Who, alias actor Peter Capaldi.
The Time Lord made his day as he sent a special Dalek message to Greenock, and even let Kai wear his coat.
Kai met the Doctor during a break in filming in Cardiff, where the series is made.
The Whinhill Primary pupil was on holiday there with his mum, Tanya, to visit the ‘Dr Who Experience’ exhibition.
Tanya, 36, said: “Kai was completely awestruck. He’s been talking about it ever since.
“We had heard through social media that Peter Capaldi was on the film set that day, and we asked if we could see him during a break.
“We couldn’t believe it when he came out and started chatting to us. He was lovely and stayed with us for about five minutes, asking where we were from and letting Kai try on his coat.
“He wrote a nice message to Kai.”
His message said: ‘To Kai. All the best from Peter Capaldi. Dr ???’
It also included a drawing of a Dalek saying: “To Greenock!”
Kai, who lives in Pennyfern Road with Tanya and dad Colin, 39, is still on cloud nine from his experience.
The youngster said: “It was the best day ever!”
