TV star Alan Davies is in Inverclyde filming scenes for a new one-off special of hit BBC drama Jonathan Creek.
Film crews are currently based at the disused Valley Park business estate off Inverkip Road, formerly Spango Valley, in Greenock.
They arrived in town on Sunday and will remain there until tomorrow.
The former IBM site off the A78 is being used as a temporary HQ for cast and crew while they film scenes for the comedy crime drama, starring actor and QI star Alan, on location in and around the area.
The Valley Park site is being used for production trucks, catering vans and car parking.
Crew members were yesterday spotted filming at nearby Ardgowan Estate.
Inverclyde has become a hotspot for TV and film crews over recent times.
Production trucks rolled into James Watt Dock a few weeks ago to shoot for a children’s TV programme, while Greenock actor Martin Compston shot scenes for a big ITV crime production at the Municipal Buildings last month.
The area also famously played host to BBC drama Waterloo Road for a couple of years at the former Greenock Academy.
Actress Scarlett Johansson brought a touch of Hollywood glamour to Port Glasgow when she came to the town to film scenes for movie Under the Skin and the countryside above Greenock was used for filming of a remake of the classic movie Whisky Galore! last year.
The BBC announced last week that Jonathan Creek, created by writer and One Foot in the Grave creator David Renwick, is to return in 2017 for a one-off special after a two-year absence from TV screens.
The 90-minute episode will mark the 20th anniversary since its launch.
Leading man Alan said: “Jonathan finds himself in real danger, it’s the spookiest episode ever.”
