TWO former public buildings in Inverclyde look set to be snapped up by new owners next week after being put up for sale.
The former police station in Gourock is on the market for £130,000 while the old job centre in Port Glasgow is also up for grabs.
Agents marketing them say interest is high and they have a set a deadline of Wednesday for bids.
The old Gourock police station was built in 1923 but ceased operations a few years ago.
It could be changed into flats or other uses, according to Shepherd Chartered Surveyors.
The company are also hopeful of attracting bids for the ex-job centre in the Port, billing it as a development opportunity which could be sub-divided and highlighting its 25 private parking spaces.
Shepherd surveyor Adam Honeyman said: “Both these properties represent a rare opportunity for tenants to secure substantial space in Inverclyde and the interest generated in both has been such that a closing date of 11th September has been set on the sales, evidence of the buoyancy of the local commercial property market.”
