FIRE crews rushed to a Greenock street to tackle a car fire.
A fire engine was dispatched following reports of a burning vehicle on Bank Street just before 4pm on Thursday.
The flames were extinguished by fire crews.
A Scottish Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.56pm on Thursday January 5 to reports of a car on fire at Bank Street, Greenock.
“Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting one vehicle.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
