A MAN charged with robbing a shop with his face masked has lodged a special defence of alibi.
Finlay McIntyre, 55, is accused of targeting the Co-op at Wemyss Bay more than two years ago.
It's alleged he brandished scissors or a similar implement at a shop worker, threatened the man with violence and demanded money on January 17, 2021.
Prosecutors say McIntyre committed the alleged offence whilst in possession of a metal bar or similar item and that he robbed the store of cash.
McIntyre, of Largs, has pleaded not guilty through lawyer Ellen Macdonald.
A trial is due to start on June 12.
