A GREENOCK serious assault accused scarred a man for life with a piece of broken glass after a woman struck the alleged victim on the head with a bottle, it is claimed.
Martin McGrath, 48, is said to have repeatedly struck the man on the body with a shard to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Co-accused Kathleen McHugh, 43, is charged with initially assaulting the man at Holmscroft Avenue on April 10, 2021.
McGrath, of Ann Street, and McHugh, of Mary Street, have pleaded not guilty to the indictment charges through lawyers Aidan Gallagher and Paul Keenan.
A sheriff and jury trial has been fixed for October 16.
