FIRE crews rushed to a busy main road in Port Glasgow after a car burst into flames earlier today.
Images shared online show the stricken vehicle being engulfed on the westbound side of the A8 at Port Glasgow, near the Woodhall Roundabout.
Plumes of thick smoke spiralled into the sky as the fire raged.
The Scottish Fire & Rescue service dispatched a crew after receiving a report about the blaze at around half past nine, and left the scene after extinguishing the blaze at around 10.15am.
