SCORES of nominations have already been received for the 2024 Greenock Telegraph Community Champion Awards but with the deadline of April 5 now looming large we're inviting you to nominate yet more local heroes.

Our readers play an important role in the awards, bringing to our attention those in our communities deserving of recognition.

And also crucial to the awards are some of Inverclyde's most big-hearted businesses.

The Tele is delighted to welcome Arnold Clark aboard this year, as well as those businesses we have already highlighted - RCH Group and Clyde Eats.

Paul McCafferty, General Manager at Arnold Clark Greenock, is proud to be part of the Community Champion Awards.

He said: "At Arnold Clark, we strongly believe in giving back to our local communities and embracing opportunities to help.

"We’re therefore delighted to support this year’s awards and help shine a light on those inspiring individuals and groups who work tirelessly to aid their wider community.

"Our company is built on local communities, and we look forward to recognising those who have gone above and beyond – one positive action at a time."

Tele editor David Goodwin said: “I would like to thank all of our sponsors for their support. Without them we simply couldn’t stage this amazing event each year.

“Their sponsorship of categories shows that they all care about the area and, like us, want to be at the very heart of celebrating it.

“Everyone at the Tele very much appreciates their backing.”
