A MAN flouted a Greenock Sheriff Court bail order to stay away from a woman and violently attacked her, it is alleged.
Stuart Gallagher is said to have ignored the directive by repeatedly punching and kicking her at a property in Gourock.
Prosecutors say that Gallagher, 38, also pinned the alleged victim to a bed, seized her by the hair and dragged her to the floor on March 4 last year.
He was allowed bail regarding another criminal matter in September 2022 on condition that he did not approach or contact the woman or enter the town of Port Glasgow.
Gallagher, whose address was not given in court, was absent from a calling of the case and a further pre-trial hearing is scheduled to take place next Tuesday.
