INVERCLYDE'S most popular baby names for 2023 have been revealed - with a new boys favourite taking the top spot.
Figures from the National Records of Scotland show that Luca - also the top name in Scotland overall - replaced 2022 favourites Leo and Noah, with ten babies born locally by that name last year.
This name was closely followed by Jack and Louie, sharing second spot with six each born in Inverclyde.
Millie remained the most popular girls' name in the district for the second year in a row, with seven baby girls sharing the name.
This was followed a mix of names in second place, including Scotland's top girls' name Isla.
