CROWDS flocked to Ferguson's shipyard today to watch the launch of the long-awaited Glen Rosa.
Members of the public and the media had their cameras ready to capture the moment - here are some of the best photos from the day.
Ferguson's employees on board the vessel gave Tele photographer George Munro a wave before she entered the water for the first time.
Crews will continue working in the ferry after she was brought quayside in Port Glasgow.
George also captured Ferguson's employees Beth Atkinson, Jennifer McKay, Rachel McLaughlin, Kirsty Graham and Teigan McShane snapping a selfie with the ferry.
The five women joined officials on the launch platform, with Beth being tasked with officially naming and launching the vessel.
PA photographer Jane Barlow captured shipbuilders knocking away the supports underneath the vessel prior to the launch.
Greenock Telegraph Camera Club member Peter Wilson took this fantastic photograph of Glen Rosa after she hit the water.
Ferguson's workers can be seen lining the ship's hull as a colleague watches on.
Richard Kreider, also of the Tele's Camera Club, suitably captured the atmosphere at Ferguson's in this photo showing crowds looking on before the launch.
