GREENOCK actor Martin Compston has revealed that he auditioned for a role in HBO's smash-hit fantasy drama Game of Thrones.
The Line of Duty star was speaking on his own Restless Native podcast with fellow Scotsman Daniel Portman, who played Podrick Payne in the series.
Martin said: “I auditioned for the pilot and not only did I never get that, I never got an audition again.
“That character died fairly quickly and I thought, ‘That’s good, maybe I’ll get in later’, [but] no.”
