LANE closures have been implemented on a busy Greenock road this morning, causing lengthy delays for commuters.
Works have commenced on the A8 between Ratho Street and Cartsdyke roundabout.
Single lane closures are in place on both sides of the carriageway.
ES Pipelines Limited is carrying out excavation work to allow for the installation of a new electrical duct.
It is estimated that the lane closures will be in place for a period of 26 working days.
