PLANS to build four detached houses at the home of murdered Inverkip teenager Margaret Fleming and her killers have been withdrawn.

Proposals to build a quartet of eco-friendly homes at the Seacroft site on the A78 between Wemyss Bay and Inverkip have been retracted by developers.

The plans had been submitted on behalf of Coventry-based developers Slam Transport, who acquired it in 2017 for £120,000.

Margaret, who was 19 when she was last seen alive, lived at the site with her evil killers Eddie Cairney and Avril Jones.

The wicked pair murdered the teenager and went undetected for 16 years while claiming more than £180,000 worth of benefits which were set aside for Margaret.

Planning permission was given in 2020 for two homes at the site, but the permission expired in January 2023.

The further application, which was lodged earlier this year, has now been withdrawn.
