A PROPOSAL to turn a vacant set of Greenock offices into six short-term let units is set to go before members of Inverclyde Council’s planning board.
Council officers are recommending that a ‘change of use’ application which seeks permission to turn the C-listed property on Union Street into short stay accommodation is approved.
The proposals, which were lodged by Block Architects on behalf of applicant Chris Moore, have received six objections, with concerns about noise, litter and the impact on the local environment being among the issues raised.
If the plans are approved a number of external alterations would be made to the building, including the alteration of its windows and new slate vents being added within the roof.
Planning Board members will decide whether to approve the application at their next meeting on November 6.
