PROPOSALS to turn a vacant Greenock shop into a hot food takeaway and install an extract flue have received six objections.
Inverclyde Council’s planning board will decide whether to grant permission for the changes to be made at the property on Maple Road.
Officers are recommending that elected members approve the application from applicant Nasir Ali subject to conditions.
Retrospective permission is sought for the installation of the flue, as the application was submitted after its construction.
Concerns about privacy, parking and the smell of food from the premises are among the issues raised by objectors.
Planning board members will make a decision on the application at their next meeting on November 6.
