A FAMOUS cycling star will lift the lid on his life and career at an appearance in Greenock this week.
Sir Bradley Wiggins – the only rider to win both World and Olympic titles on track and road – will visit the Beacon Arts Centre on Friday.
The event will see the Tour de France winner talk about his career and what brought him to cycling in the first place.
Lesley Davidson, acting joint director at the Beacon, said: “It has been 20 years since Sir Bradley Wiggins amazed the country and made Olympic history by winning three medals in Athens in 2004.
“Everyone at the Beacon is delighted that this icon of sport is coming to Inverclyde to share his amazing career with our audiences.
“With only two appearances in Scotland this year, this promises to be a not-to-missed night for sports fans throughout the central belt and beyond and we encourage fans to book early to avoid missing out”.
Tickets are on sale from the venue, including a VIP package, with fans given the chance to enjoy a drinks reception with the cycling star.
