SEAN Fitzharris has not yet ruled out making another appearance for Morton before his loan deal ends - after learning his dislocated shoulder will only keep him out for a few weeks.
The Celtic starlet, who is signed with Ton until mid-December, has been missing since falling awkwardly against Queen of the South at Cappielow two weeks ago.
The Parkhead medical staff have told Fitzharris, 19, he does not need an operation, but a Ton return will depend on the rate he progresses through his rehabilitation.
Fitzharris, pictured, told the Tele: “There is a chance I could be playing in a month or so. It could be a possibility that I come back in time to play for Morton.
“I have a few weeks of rehab work then I’ll take it from there and we’ll see how it goes.
“I’ve spoken to the doctor at Celtic and he says that’s the case. It would be a big operation if it happened again so I’m just going to see how the rehab goes.” As the teenager has already suffered this injury twice before in his career, he is fully aware of what to expect during his recovery.
And Fitzharris admits this prior knowledge could help him expedite his return to action - although he still remains cautious.
He said: “I don’t know if that makes it any easier but I know what I’ve got to do and hopefully if I do it right I can be back quicker.
“But I’m don’t know anything for definite just now and I can’t say for definite when I’ll be back. It’s just a case of waiting and seeing how I progress.” However, should the prodigious Celt not recover in time, Ton boss Allan Moore has absolute confidence in the players already at his disposal.
Moore said: “I’ve spoken to Sean and he says he can move his shoulder but there’s a difference between moving it and being able to play with it.
“I’m happy with what I’ve got. We just need to start picking up points again and we need to keep putting in the workrate like we did on Saturday, which I thought was tremendous.”
