MORTOn may lose out on the services of goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert.

Cuthbert, left, who joined the club on a one-year deal just into the start of last season, is in the middle of negotiations with the Cappielow club.

But the goalkeeper is also talking to at least one other club.

He goes off on holiday at the weekend and he told the Telegraph: 'I am hoping to get something sorted out before I go.

'Talks are going on with Morton but I am considering another offer. I don"t want to say too much about it at the moment.

'Hopefully I"ll get something sorted out soon, but I am not going to rush into anything for the sake of it.' The goalkeeper enjoyed a good season with Morton and was part of a defensive unit praised by manager Davie Irons.

He kept 14 clean sheets in competitive matches and was runner-up to skipper Stewart Greacen as the club"s Player of the Year.

With Colin Stewart having been told he is free to join another club, Morton are in the market for two goalkeepers before the start of the new campaign.

Meanwhile there is no further news from Cappielow on possible incoming tranfers.

One player in whom Ton boss Davie Irons has been interested in the past is ex-Hibs striker Fabian Yontorno, now released by the Easter Road club.

But Irons has said that he is in no rush to enter the market, preferring to make sure that whoever is brought in adds quality to the squad.
