MORTON reserves extended their remarkable winning streak to seven matches last night after overcoming the East Fife reserves 4-2.
That has consolidated the Cappielow second string - affectionately dubbed the 'Bomb Squad' - at the top of the reserve league with a five-point lead.
David Hopkin's side were leading their hosts 3-2 after two goals from starlet Lewis Hawke and another from midfielder Kyle Wilkie.
However, Tony Wallace popped up with a strike with just 15 minutes to go to settle the nerves and ensure a seventh win on the trot.
The run of form has already attracted the interest of first team boss Allan Moore - with the likes of Wallace, Wilkie and Thomas O'Ware all having featured in the club's senior side this season.
