The 18-year-old youth academy graduate - who made his Ton debut as a half-time sub in a 2-0 loss to Falkirk in December 2013 – penned a six-month deal in the summer.
After impressing manager Jim Duffy in training and scoring five goals in eight starts during a loan spell with Lowland League outfit BSC Glasgow, he was recently offered terms until the summer.
Ferris, above, is currently back at Cappielow on a full-time basis and came off the bench at Stenhousemuir on Saturday, but the Ton boss has not ruled another loan stint.
He told the Tele: “Aidan has signed until the end of the season and that was always our intention.
“He went to Broomhill [BSC Glasgow] and did well.
“He’s back with us at the moment and we’ll review the situation and see whether we’ll loan him out again.” Meanwhile, Under-20s central midfielder Steven Lamont has left the club.
The 18-year-old struggled for game time this term and his contract was not renewed when it expired at the turn of the year.
