AN Inverclyde site security firm has formally unveiled its new head office in Port Glasgow.

Safer Group has expanded its base in Kelburn Business Park into a second 6,000 sq ft unit.

The new space will act as the company's head office, accommodating up to 30 members of staff across areas including logistics, finance, HR, sales and marketing.

The company's original base has been turned into a testing and research facility.

Established in 2016 by Greenock entrepreneur Ryan Clark, Safer Group specialises in safeguarding construction sites, infrastructure and other assets with its 'cutting-edge' intruder detection system.

Its annual turnover broke records last year, growing from £5m to £12m.

Ryan and the team welcomed Inverclyde councillors Michael McCormick and Jim Clocherty to the launch of the new head office.

Mr Clark added: "This new HQ marks an important milestone for the business and signifies our future ambitions.

"Our high standards are reflected first and foremost in our team and the consequence of this is felt throughout our business.

"The standard of the new HQ is just another consequence of having great people."
