THE Tele's Bags of Goodwill campaign for Inverclyde Foodbank has received a brilliant response from our kind-hearted readers.

But time is running out to get your donations into our office as the campaign will be closing soon.

We put donation bags in every copy of the paper last Friday and filled ones have been coming in thick and fast.

If you haven't already donated, please fill one of the bags - or even a carrier bag - with donations for the foodbank and bring them into the Tele office Monday to Thursday between 9am and 1pm and 2pm and 5pm.

Along with our kind sponsors - Green Oak Funeral Services, Clyde Metals Recycling Ltd, Inverclyde Taxis, Whiteside Memorials, Hagan Pharmacy and James Frew Ltd - we're asking you, if you can, to donate much needed food for our neighbours, friends or families who have fallen on hard times.

And if there is any doubt about how important this campaign is, last year alone 1,555 youngsters were fed through the endeavours of the Inverclyde Foodbank.

The team there send out hundreds of parcels every week to men, women and children in the greatest need.

Now is the time to act to help this frontline anti-poverty charity to restock its shelves after what it has described as a 'difficult year'.
