MORTON midfielder Robbie Crawford has signalled that he is open to staying at the club next season as he waits to open talks with bosses.

Crawford is one of the players going out of contract and says no talks have been held about his future as yet.

He said: "I think the summer will be a case of waiting and seeing how it goes once the season's finished.

"The club haven't spoken to anyone yet, we only secured our safety against Arbroath the other week, so we'll see what happens.

"I'd like to stay, but we'll need to see what comes up in the off season and if the club want to keep me."

The midfielder is preparing for the final game of the season on Friday and is adamant there's still pressure on his side to go and win against Inverness.

Ton may be safe from the drop and unable to break into the top four and make the play-offs, but Crawford insists there is still plenty to play for.

He wants to seal fifth spot so that Ton end the campaign in the top half of the table. But he admits his side should've been looking for more heading into the final fixture.

Crawford told the Tele: "We'll go up there wanting to finish fifth, so we've got a lot riding on the game. We'll be going there to win.

"Inverness will be up for it on Friday too. There's a lot on the line for them."

"I still feel as if we should've been in the play-offs. Our form dipped at the wrong time and Airdrie picked up. Fifth would be an okay end to the season, but I do feel as if we should've been in the top four."
