CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS
The Municipal Buildings and all Council Offices will close at 5.00pm on Thursday 24 December 2015 for business purposes and will re-open on Tuesday 5 January 2016 at 8.40am. The Customer Service Centre will close to the public at 4.00pm on
24 December 2015.
The Scottish Welfare Fund are providing cover between the 29 and 31 December 2015. The contact telephone number to be used for applications is 01475 714444 and will be available between 9am and 3pm on the aforementioned dates.
In addition, the following information in relation to specific services should be noted:-

Environmental and Commercial Services offices will close to the public at 5pm on Thursday 24 December 2015. The offices will re-open at 8.40am on Tuesday 5 January 2016.

If refuse collections are delayed due to adverse weather, please put your bins out by 7am each day to allow collection at the earliest opportunity. Regular winter updates can be found by visiting the Winter Updates section of the Council's website at www.Inverclyde.gov.uk Alternatively, call the automated winter helpline on 712713. The last bulk uplift service prior to the Christmas period will be on Wednesday 16 December 2015. The service will resume on Wednesday 6 January 2016.

Normal service will resume on Tuesday 5 January 2016. Please ensure you visit 15 minutes before closing time. Please note on occasion Kirn Drive depot may close within the above hours due to being full to capacity. If this occurs please use the Pottery Street Depot. Do not leave anything outside the gates.
Burial Grounds and Crematorium
No cremations or interments will take place on Friday 25, Saturday 26 & Monday 28 December 2015 nor on Friday 1, Saturday 2 & Monday 4 January 2016. There will be access to all Cemeteries and the Garden of Remembrance at the Crematorium. The Book of Remembrance will be available for viewing between 10am and 12noon on these dates or can be viewed online at www.Inverclyde.gov.uk
Alternative arrangements for viewing an entry can be made by contacting the Crematorium Office, 1 South Street, Greenock (715658/9).
Registration Service (Births, Deaths and Marriages)
The Registration Office located at the Customer Services Centre at Municipal Buildings, Greenock will be closed on Friday 25 & Monday 28 December 2015 and also Friday 1 & Monday 4 January 2016. A telephone appointment system will be in operation for Registration purposes on 29, 30 & 31 December 2015 (714250).
If there is a need for an emergency registration please contact the Council's out of hours service (719999), the Police (492500) or a local undertaker for further advice. Recorded information on emergency procedures can also be obtained by telephoning the Registration Office at the number given above.

Libraries and Museum
All Libraries and the McLean Museum will be closed from 3.30pm on Thursday 24 December 2015 until Tuesday 5 January 2016 when normal opening hours will resume.

Kilmacolm, Port Glasgow, Watt and Gourock Libraries - 10am - 5pm South West and Inverkip & Wemyss Bay Libraries - 10am - 1pm
