REGISTRATION OF INFANT
BEGINNERS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS SCHOOL SESSION 2016 - 2017
Children who attain the age of five years between 1 March 2016 and 28 February 2017 should be registered for Primary School on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 January 2016. Pupils whose surname begins with the initials A to L should be presented on Wednesday 13 January 2016 and pupils
whose surname begins with the initials
M to Z should be presented on Thursday 14 January 2016.
Parents must register their child in the
local primary school, on of the above dates as appropriate, between the hours of 1.30pm and 3.00pm. You must register your
child in the catchment denominational or
non-denominational school even if you are considering a placing request for another school. This includes Primary 1 Gaelic Medium Education at Whinhill Primary
School.
The following documents are required for
registration:-
? your child's birth certificate

? your Council Tax demand notice for the current year, in your name

? a utility bill (i.e. gas, electricity, landline telephone or broadband) in your name

and dated within the last 6 months.
We also require the name of your Health Visitor.
Booklets providing information for parents on placing request procedures may be obtained
from any school or from The Customer Service Centre, Municipal Buildings, Clyde
Square, Greenock, Inverclyde PA15 1LY.
