TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2016
The Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Road closures and no waiting and no loading at any time restrictions will exist on all vehicles:-
ROAD CLOSURE - ARRAN AVE. PORT GLASGOW
On Arran Ave at junctions with Cumbrae Ave, from 7am on 15/08/2016 to 5pm on 19/08/2016, to allow for carriageway resurfacing works. Alternative route: Cumbrae Ave and vice versa.
ROAD CLOSURE - NEIL ST. GREENOCK
On Neil St from the junction with Fergus Rd east to 64 Neil St from 9.30am to 3.30pm on 17/08/2016 to allow for defective ironwork repairs. Alternative routes: Fergus Rd, Fancy Farm Rd, Larkfield Rd, Gleninver Rd, A78 Inverkip Rd, Neil St and vice versa. Neil St, Munro St, Wren Rd, Fancy Farm Rd, Fergus Rd and vice versa.
ROAD CLOSURE - CATHCART SQ. WILLIAM ST. GREENOCK NO WAITING/LOADING - CATHCART ST. GREENOCK
Cathcart Sq and William St will be closed from midnight on 19/08/2016 until 6pm 20/08/2016 and a "no loading/waiting" restriction will be in force on Cathcart St from Station Ave to Cathcart Sq for the Greenock Festival of Fire event.
NO WAITING/LOADING - GLENEAGLES DR. GOUROCK
On Gleneagles Dr from Carnoustie Ave to No. 18 from 8am on 22/08/2016 to 5pm on 26/08/2016 to allow for footway reconstruction works. The works could be completed before the end of the restricted period depending on the weather conditions.
NO WAITING/LOADING - CLOCH RD. GOUROCK
A "no loading/waiting" restriction will be in force on both sides of Cloch Rd between Mclnroy's Point and Farm Rd, a distance of 300m and "no right turn" restriction at the Ferry terminal from midnight on 26/08/2016 to midnight on 27/08/2016 to aid traffic control for the Cowal Games.
ROAD CLOSURE - IONA RD. PORT GLASGOW
On full length of lona Rd from 7am on 22/08/2016 until 5pm 26/08/2016 to allow for carriageway resurfacing works.
ROAD CLOSURE - A770 CLOCH RD. GOUROCK
On A770 Cloch Rd from A78 to Underheugh Treatment Works, from 7pm on 26/08/2016 to 5pm on 04/09/2016 (nightime working only) to allow for carriageway reconstruction works. Alternative route: A78 Inverkip Rd, Auchmead Rd, Cumberland Rd, Larkfield Rd, Chapel St, Shore St, Kempock St, Albert Rd, Ashton Rd, Cloch Rd and vice versa.
Access for emergency vehicles & pedestrians will be maintained. The above restrictions will only be effective when displayed by signs and cones in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
