TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2016
The Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. Road closures or restrictions will exist for all vehicles, except vehicles engaged in the relevant works:-
NO WAITING/LOADING - CAWDOR CRES. GREENOCK
No waiting and no loading at any time restriction will exist from 8.30am on 06/10/2016 to 6pm on 08/10/2016 on both sides of the carriageway of Cawdor Cres for a distance of 20m either side from No. 53 Cawdor Cres to allow for sewer cleaning works.
ROAD CLOSURE - OCTAVIA TER, GREENOCK &
NO WAITING/LOADING - NEWARK ST, GREENOCK
Octavia Ter will be closed to all vehicles, except vehicles engaged in the carriageway repair
work, from its junction with Newark St north for a distance of 35m. No waiting and no loading at any time restriction will exist on Newark St on both sides of the carriageway from
Octavia Ter junction east for a distance of 50m and on the north side of the carriageway
west for a distance of 30m from 8.30am on 06/10/2016 to 6pm on 12/10/2016. Alternative route: Octavia Ter, Eldon St, Lyle Rd, Newark St & vice versa.
NO WAITING/LOADING - UIST/STAFFA/MULL AVE, PORT GLASGOW
No waiting and no loading at any time restriction will exist from 7am on 08/10/2016 to 5pm on 13/10/2016 on Uist Ave from No. 18 to the end, the full length of Staffa Ave and on Mull Ave from No. 27b to No. 29 on both sides of the carriageway to allow for footway resurfacing
works.
ROAD CLOSURE - BOGLESTONE AVE, PORT GLASGOW
Boglestone Ave from South Rd west to No. 14 Boglestone Ave will be closed to all vehicles,
except vehicles engaged in the carriageway maintenance works, from 6am on 10/10/2016
to 8pm on 14/10/2016. Alternative route: Ardmore Rd, Springhill Rd, Highholm Ave, Balfour St, Shore St, Scarlow St, Fore St, Greenock Rd, Clune Brae, Kilmacolm Rd & vice versa.
NO WAITING/LOADING - MIRRENS SHORE, PORT GLASGOW
No waiting and no loading at any time restriction will exist from 8.30am on 10/10/2016 to
6pm on 14/10/2016 on Mirrens Shore between Anderson St and Queen St to allow for
carriageway repair works.
ROAD CLOSURE - UIST/STAFFA AVE, PORT GLASGOW
Full length of Uist Ave and Staffa Ave, Port Glasgow from 7am on 14/10/2016 to 5pm on
19/10/2016 for carriageway reconstruction works.
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF RIGHT TURN MOVEMENTS INTO/OUT OF POTTERY ST, GREENOCK
Due to Scottish Gas maintenance works and with the consent of the Scottish Ministers,
temporary restrictions of right turn movements into/out of Pottery St at the junction with the A8 eastbound at Port Glasgow Rd and the A8 westbound at East Hamilton St will exist from 7pm on 14/10/2016 to 6am on 24/10/2016. Alternative routes: diversion westbound
- A8 East Hamilton St to Cartsdyke roundabout and return; diversion eastbound - A8 Port
Glasgow Rd to Port Glasgow roundabout and return.
Access for emergency vehicles & pedestrians will be maintained. The above restrictions will only be effective when displayed by signs and cones in accordance with the Traffic Signs
Regulations and General Directions 2016.
