CHRISTMAS carriages full of fabulous festive sparkle will soon be arriving in Greenock for the very first time.
Santa's Magical Express will pull into Battery Park on Saturday as it starts a series of special festive journeys in the run-up to Christmas.
The tremendous train will be the centrepiece of special festive activities at the park which are being hosted by Santa, his elves and the Grinch.
The amazing Christmas experience begins at an old-fashioned train station in the park where people board Santa's Magical Express.
Passengers will get a tour of the park on their way to see Santa in his boat shed - and will have to keep an eye out for some cheeky elves and the naughty Grinch on the way.
When families reach the boat shed, they will be treated to a 15-minute show with Santa and his elves before hopping back on the train back to the station.
Santa will also welcome youngsters to his grotto, and there will be a fantastic funfair.
The show has already been a big hit at the Riverside Museum, Dean Castle Country Park and Loch Lomond Shores over the years, and this is the first time it has arrived in Greenock.
