McPhail Peacefully on Sunday 27th September 2020 at Ardgowan Hospice, after a short illness, Ian, brother of Douglas. Funeral private.

I don't know if you received a reply from Margaret or Douglas, but I can confirm that it was my friend, Ian, who visited you. He first visited San Francisco with myself, some 25 or so years ago. Ian fell in love with your city and returned just about every year since that first visit. He had such good times there and took wonderful memories with him. He's a dearly missed friend.

Margaret or Douglas. Do you happen to know if this was the Ian McPhail who would winter in San Francisco? He stayed at our AirBnB for the past five years. He told us he was sick last month and we didn't hear from him again. If so, I would like to put up a memorial for him in San Francisco so his friends here know. Please let me know either way.
