CANNING Peacefully at home on Tuesday 5th January 2021, James (Jimmy), beloved husband of Nan (nee McAllister), much loved dad of Jim, Morag, Fiona, Craig and Lorna, dear father in law, devoted granda and great granda, (ex IBM, motorbike instructor and scout). Sadly missed. Fortified by Rites of Holy Catholic Church. R.I.P. Jimmy will be received into St Andrew's R.C. Church prior to Funeral Mass on Friday 15th January at 10am, thereafter to Greenock Crematorium at 11am. Service Private due to Government guidelines. Family flowers only please.

In recent years I met regularly Jimmy at Inverclyde Camera Club. Way back I knew him a little through Scouts , then we both worked in IBM for 20+. years and enjoyed its Social Club
Jimmy was always full of energy, took an active part in lots of activities, helped his family, friends and lots of people .
I don’t recall his ever saying a bad word about anyone .
