SMITH - Robert Dunlop Aged 86, 0f Dartmouth, Canada It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing, of our father Robert Dunlop Smith on Friday, 12th February 2021. Following a short illness, he passed away peacefully with his two sons and their families by his side. Born in Port Glasgow, Scotland on 5th December 1934, he was the second oldest of five sons of the late Alexander Smith and Maisie (Dick). As a child and young man he lived at Bruce Street and Park Road in the Port. Growing up in times of scarcity during and after the Second World War, his family pulled together to make ends meet. Looking out for one another was ingrained in the band of five brothers from an early age. These values guided him throughout his life and were reflected in his warm hearted generosity and kindness.
