So sorry for your loss. It is my deepest regret that although I corresponded with George over the years I never had the chance to meet him in person. Despite this I think that I got to know him a little bit. He sounded like a lovely old gentleman who cared very much for his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren. It's a comfort to think that he and Isobel are now reunited.
He and I shared a passion for researching our genealogy although he was far cleverer than me I have to say. His contributions to the family tree gave me some insight into our relatives from a bygone era and I will be forever grateful for the colour he added to my life. Rest easy my friend (and 3rd cousin) I will miss your lovely Christmas cards . The best of you will live on in your children.
