AN AULDS delivery van went on fire on the M8 this morning.
The fire service said the driver was alerted to the danger when he spotted sparks flying from the vehicle.
He pulled in between the Erskine Bridge junction and St James Interchange and got out safely without injury. When the emergency services arrived just after 5.30am the van was ablaze.
Crews from Port Glasgow and Clydebank put out the blaze using hose reel jets and breathing apparatus.
