OLD school pals – many now scattered across the world – reminisced about days gone by when they reunited in Greenock with their former teacher.
The classes of 1956/57, who moved from Ravenscraig School to Larkfield School when it opened in 1956, attended a reunion with their teacher Avril Braidwood, formerly known as Miss Webster, at the Tontine Hotel recently.
Some of the former pupils travelled from as far afield as California and Germany for the event while others made the trip from Dumfries and Glasgow.
The group also used the internet to contact their classmates Thomas Smith – who lives in Sweden – and Sam Baird, from Canada.
One of the highlights of the day was when ‘teacher’s pet’ Tommy Trotter handed over an apple to his favourite teacher.
