A SENIOR ex-Inverclyde Council official has joined the business empire of Greenock brothers Sandy and James Easdale.
Arranglen, the parent company for the UK business interests of the Easdale family, has confirmed that former head of environmental and commercial services Ian Moffat has joined the board.
Mr Moffat has also been appointed the managing director of the group’s ARC Fleet Services and Repair Centre based in Greenock.
He joins from the council, where he has spent the last five years.
Mr Moffat said: “Arranglen is one of Scotland’s most dynamic, independent companies and I am looking forward to playing a constructive role with the current team, in driving the ambitions of the group.”
Arranglen has a comprehensive portfolio of business interests encompassing transport, manufacturing and property.
It is also the parent company of Greenock-based bus operator McGill’s.
James Easdale, chairman of Arranglen, said: “Ian will bring a wealth of experience to the board and to key divisions of Arranglen.” business interests.
His appointment will augment the talents of our current senior team and help focus the strategic ambitions of the group.”
