PLAYGROUP tots were lapping it up as they went the extra mile to raise money on a sponsored walk.
Children from the Lyle Kirk Newark Street Toddler Group/Finnart St Paul's did a few rounds of Battery Park with their parents before tucking in to a picnic and a play in the park.
The walk raised over £400.
Ashli Johnson formed the group, which is self-funding, in September and says that the money will be used to pay for an Easter Party and replace and update play equipment and toys.
She said: "We had kids on the walk along with their parents.
"We walked from the pavilion around the park then we had a picnic and the kids played in the two parks.
"They absolutely loved it.
"They had a ball, it was a lovely day and it made such a difference to get out in the fresh air."
Ashli decided to set up the group because she felt it was something that was needed in the area.
She has a two-year-old daughter Lacey who loves socialising with her new friends.
She said: "We raised £433, which is fantastic.
"We need a new trampoline and some of our toys need to be replaced or upgraded.
"We will continue to fundraise through things like bake sales.
"This will improve the group and make it even more amazing than it already is."
The group meets every Monday between 9.30am and 11.30pm at Lyle Kirk in Newark Street and it is open to babies right up to three-year-olds.
