OVER 30 jobs are being served up in Kilmacolm as a new pub is set to open.
The former Pullman Tavern has been bought over by local resident Graeme Finnie and his wife Karen along with local operator Jason Andrews, who runs The River Inn in Crosslee and The Fox and Hounds in Houston.
They say that the pub will be undergo a major refurbishment in the next few months with significant investment being made.
Andrew Young, who is the operations manager, said: "We are very excited about taking over The Pullman and the opportunity to expand our portfolio and create a fantastic venue for the people of Kilmacolm."
Their company has a track record in turning round the fortunes of vacant pubs.
About four years ago, Mr Finnie and his wife bought the Fox and Hounds after it went into administration and lost its licence.
The couple head-hunted Mr Andrews, proprietor of The River Inn, to run the venue.
The pub was restored to its former glory and now the trio hope to do the same with the Pullman.
Mr Young added: "The Pullman will be undergoing a major refurbishment in the next few months with significant investment being made.
"In the same way we have done in Houston with The Fox and Hounds, we hope to create a destination that the people of Kilmacolm will enjoy, and in doing so create over 30 local jobs.
"People know us and they know the quality and the service that we deliver through our existing venues and we want to re-create that at The Pullman."
The new pub is due to open in a few months time with recruitment in due course.
