SHOPPERS flocked to the centre of Kilmacolm to browse and buy as the village farmers' market continues to go from strength to strength.
There was a range of quality produce on offer at the monthly event in the village square.
Stallholders were serving up everything from Aberdeen Angus and fresh fish from Oban to delicacies from Spain and France.
Matthew Steven, events organiser who runs the market along with Andrew Smith, said: "The market has been running for around 16 years and we usually have 15 stalls.
"We have Scottish produce and Spanish and French food as well.
"We have Aberdeen Angus, Ayrshire potatoes, breads and cakes and fish from Oban and you won't get a better curry anywhere.
"We had Spanish cheese and chorizo and French gastronomic delights."
Also on sale at the market were locally grown plants, jewellery and garden ornaments.
Matthew said: "It's quality produce at a good price because you are cutting out the middle man.
"It's a nice market.
"The red and black gazebos look smart, it lends itself to the village.
"It's also a meeting place for people to get together and have a coffee so it benefits local businesses as well."
Councillor David Wilson welcomed the market's positive impact on the village.
He said: "With it being on the first Saturday of the month, it's become a regular feature.
"It has been well patronised by the villagers and people who come to the village for it."
