A CONSTELLATION of little stars enjoyed the red carpet treatment as they get ready to move from nursery into primary school.
Children from Bluebird Family Centre celebrated their end of term with a dash of Hollywood style thanks to Greenock flooring specialists Carpetrite.
It also marked the completion of a project about careers, aspirations and ambitions for the future, following educational visits to the town's police office, fire station, hospital and the Tesco bakery.
Depute head Claire McIntyre said: "It was a lovely event and the children shared their experiences with the audience.
"They spoke about what they wanted to be when they're older.
"We wish them all well for their future learning."
But the fun didn't stop there at the busy pre-five, as just a few days later glorious weather graced the centre's fifth annual sports day.
It was held at the Battery Park in splendid sunshine.
The kids took the races very seriously and mums and dads joined in too.
After all the competitive action was over everyone sat down to enjoy a picnic.
Claire said: "The whole nursery took part and the parents and staff got involved in the races as well.
"We get great support from the parents, whom we rely on to bring the children along to the sports day.
"Everyone had a great time at sports day.
"It was fantastic fun and the weather was so good that we all enjoyed a picnic in the park too."
