A CYCLING and walking project launched a year ago is helping Inverclyde to go green.
Thanks to Inverclyde Bothy many local people are well on the road to a healthier lifestyle.
Co-ordinator Josh Woods and his team have travelled the the length and breadth of the district to bring local communities together.
So far they have over 100 people out walking every week and now there are dozens of family-friendly cycling sessions springing up from Kilmacolm to Inverkip.
To celebrate a successful first year they came together to go on a big walk.
Josh said: "I can't believe how much we have achieved in a year - I never expected it to grow so fast.
"We have had an incredible response from people.
"It has been a whirlwind."
To encourage cycling the team offer bespoke tuition free for all ages and stages and family cycling sessions for community groups like Belville and workplaces.
The Bothy has also created a network of cycle-friendly cafes.
Walk leader Jenni Murray has set up a different treks throughout Inverclyde with their regular stroll along the Esplanade hugely popular.
She has added in walks with the tourist group, historical tours and clean ups along the way.
Jenni added: "Our walks are becoming more and more popular."
The Bothy is based in Gourock Railway Station and a number of events were held to mark its busy first year.
It is run in association with Cycling UK, Smarter Choices, Smarter Places and Paths for All.
