A NEW evangelical church will hold its first 'connect Sunday' at the Broomhill Hub next week.
The Vineyard Church is lead by a joint ministry of husband and wife Don and Abi Thomas.
The pastors have moved from Aberdeen to set up the new church meeting.
Don said: "At our heart is that this church will be a welcoming community where people meet with Jesus in life-changing ways.
"We have our Connect Sundays fortnightly starting on Sunday August 4 between 10.30 and noon at Broomhill Gardens and Hub.
"At these mornings there will be breakfast, a time of worship, a message and time to respond to God. There is also an area for kids to play and an activity table for them within the main space."
The couple's aim is to reach out to the community and share the word of God.
Don said: "Our desire is to see Inverclyde flourish as we serve and love those around us."
The church ran an Easter Egg hunt in Gourock Park which attracted more than 70 people, have done a free chocolate giveaway in Greenock town centre and made up hampers for families in the area facing a tough time.
Don and Abi are pastors within Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland.
As well as part of 21by21 which is a vision to see 21 new churches started in Scotland by 2021.
Don said: "The invitation is to come as you are, play your part and explore what faith could look like for you.
