A CRACKING Christmas coffee morning was held at Gourock church St John’s.
Congregation members showed their festive spirit by donning Christmas jumpers for the event.
A variety of stall holders from outwith the church took the opportunity to showcase their work and those attending had the chance to tuck into hot rolls and cups of tea, coffee before browsing.
They snapped up cards, bottles, gifts, knitted items, prints, toiletries and Christmas gifts.
The home baking stall also proved very popular.
Ruth Bennett, social events convener, said: "We normally run a fete at Christmas time, this was the first time it has been a coffee morning.
"I was delighted with how it went.
"Everyone worked together to make it a success and it was a great atmosphere despite awful weather."
The coffee morning raised around £850 for the church, a total Ruth was delighted with.
She said: "This is a totally different event to what people were used to so we were delighted with the total.
"Everyone seemed to enjoy it and they were all very generous.
"Thank you to everyone who supported the event and all those who came along on the day."
