TINY tots teamed up with senior citizens for a special trip to Greenock's new and improved £2 million museum.
As part of an intergenerational project, little ones from Wellpark Children's Centre joined pensioners from the Hillend Day Centre for a visit to the refurbished McLean Museum, which has recently reopened as The Watt Institution.
The visit was part of the Auld Yins & Wee Yins project between the nursery and day centre which builds relationships and links with the wider community.
Gillian McDonald, who is an early years education and childcare officer at the Wellpark Children's centre, says the children love to spend time with the pensioners.
She said: "They get so much from it.
"They learn about each other and their lives, it's great that they can both connect to different aspects.
"They build such good relationships with each other."
Mary Cree, who is a day officer at Hillend, said both the children and pensioners get so much out of the project.
She said: "This is the first time we have visited the museum together.
"It has been amazing.
"This is the fifth year we've run it."
Three-year-old Andrew Jamieson and his nursery pals Kerr Campbell, Bradley Reid and Jacob Shambach enjoyed their trip to the Watt Institution.
Andrew said: "It's good fun and it's exciting."
